I am a licensed social worker with ten years of experience as a real-world professional. I spent seven years as a healing arts practitioner as a Licensed Massage Therapist and Trauma Touch Therapist. As a result, my psychotherapy practice not only includes mental wellness, but also allows for somatic processing. I value the unique journey each person brings to the therapeutic relationship as well as each person’s desired goals. I have worked in schools with youth in mental health roles, conducting groups and individual sessions, and with adults in nonprofits and private practice settings. I believe strongly in contributing to the community. I seek to give back to my community through my work with the United Nations Association of Boulder County, where I sit on the board, supervise interns, and co-chair the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Committee. I utilize a person-centered approach with an emphasis on the strengths perspective. I am also EMDR trained and utilize modalities from EMDR frequently in my sessions. My areas of focus include loss and grief, end of life changes, compassion fatigue, mindfulness, trauma through different stages of life, anxiety and depression.
